The pole axe is based off of a late 15th-early 16th century example provided by the customer. With this project, I chose to do mostly forge work to minimize the amount of stock removal.

The top spike is forged out of 3/4 inch stock with langets welded on, and the main hammer is forged out of 1 inch stock with the socket swaged through. The side spikes are done out of 5/8 inch stock.

Overall length: 71.625″
Hammer length: 9.375″
Top spike: 3.75″
Back spike: 4.5″
Spikes side to side: 5″
Langets: 23.625″

Materials: Ash haft, mild steel

Project done for Arms & Armor
