1410 Armor Pieces

Finished project for Mark Griffin of Griffin Historical. This armor project was based off several effigies most notably the effigy of Sir Thurstan de Bowers in Tideswell Church in Derbyshire.

This project involved a lot of new elements and different techniques. All the trim work is gilded copper and all hand done by a series of punches and chisels. The armor also features turn-pegs for a locking mechanism for the cannons on the arms, greaves, and sabatons which are period correct. More detailed shots can be found below.

Armor: 1050 hardened spring steel
Trim work and buckles: Gilded copper
Straps: Leather
